/ About the project
Every one of Naiko's artworks is unique, and NYSMNYD (Now You See Me, Now You Don't) does not deviate from that rule.
Using a caveat in the 3D file format, Nahiko creates an impossible sculpture. A magic trick destined to question the viewer: Who wants to pay taxes?

Nahiko Mikasa was invited by G4spard to participate in the New French Touch exhibition on SuperRare. The exhibition's theme focused on controversy, wittiness, and decentralization. In response, Nahiko chose to highlight a highly controversial topic at the time: the tax evasion practices of many GAFAM companies, such as META.
In typical Nahiko fashion, the artwork is not merely a simple 3D object. Instead, it innovates by utilizing a long-forgotten feature within 3D file formats that allows specific parts of an object to be hidden from certain angles. Through this technique, Nahiko crafted a 3D sculpture of the META logo that disappears when viewed from different angles.
Although the reader might assume that the question "who wants to pay taxes ?" is rethorical (meaning it's Meta), It may in fact be directed to the audience.
NYSMNYD is a Metaverse-native sculpture, meaning that it was designed in order to exist in a post-VR world where 3D becomes an inherent and daily part of our lives.
